My work is a contemplation of the techno-sublime; an unknowing of the ancient unknowable, thrust into the twenty-first century. Using light and projection with drawing, painting, and new media, I explore the potentials of mystical experience since postmodernism, in a world whose space is more often cyber than sacred and whose worldviews have begun to transcend conventional transcendence.
My projects merge the digital and the analogue to challenge the viewers’ perceptual expectations and interactions with mediation. With strategies of negation, paradox, and deconstruction, I make a radical (re)turn to the root of mystical experience, to open new meditative spaces for a radical new age. READ MORE…
